New Protocols at Kaizen Dental

New Protocols at Kaizen Dental

Dear friends of Kaizen Dental,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same:

Our commitment to your safety.

We’re happy to announce that following the guidelines of the Government of British Columbia and Dr. Bonnie Henry, we will be reopening our doors on May 25th. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

New Protocols

• Taking safety measure including personal protective equipment requirements for our team. (Example: PPE, N95 Masks, Sneeze Guards, Protective Barriers for reception area and Face Shields, etc.)
• Pre-Screening questions will be asked or sent to you prior to your dental appointment. Note: responding to the questionnaire is very important. If you do not answer, you may lose your appointment and will have to reschedule.
• We ask you to arrive with a mask on (personal cloth masks are acceptable).
• A call or text message will be sent to you before you are asked to come into the office for your reserved appointment.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office and your forehead temperature will be checked with a touchless thermometer.
• You will be guided to your chair and you will be offered mouth wash to disinfect your mouth prior to starting any treatment.
• Physical distancing throughout the clinic.
• Enhancing sanitization protocols to all clinic touchpoints including but not limited to,
door handles, desks, dental operatories and payment terminals.
• All staff will be screened with temperature and symptom tests daily, mandatory self-quarantine will be imposed for all staff who have any flu-like symptoms.
• Inserting hand sanitizer throughout the clinic.
• Removing all magazines from our waiting room.
• Coffee machine not available.
• Using state of art disinfection methods and equipment.
• Not accepting cash payments – credit and debit only.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

Bookings

Due to high volume of requests for booking appointments, we will address them based on the urgency. It must be noted that arriving promptly and alone for your appointment is extremely important to limit the number of people in the clinic. Individuals accompanying patients will be required to wait in their vehicle or outside of the office for the duration of the appointment.

Special arrangements can be made in advance for minors, elderly patients or persons with disabilities. Due to high volumes of voicemail and email requests, we will try to respond to you as soon as possible. If you have an upcoming appointment and are experiencing a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, we request that for everyone’s safety, you contact our team to reschedule your appointment.

As the situations continues to evolve, please be assured that we will be constantly assessing and adapting our processes to adhere to the latest updates and health guidelines from the BC Dental Association and WorkSafeBC.

Thank you for your patience and understanding the changes. The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the steps we take to keep you and every patient safe in our practice. We hope that you continue to reach out to our team with any questions through our email [email protected] or at 604-232-3900.

Sincerely,
Dr. Sia Naseh and Team at Kaizen Dental on the river
